I am a corporate/commercial solicitor with DFA Law LLP in Northampton; I qualified in August 2009 after what seemed like an eternity!
In addition to my day job I mentor students on De Montfort University's LPC course and I regularly give presentations to A-level and GCSE students on the role of a solicitor/trainee and the route to qualification. In my spare time I enjoy long-distance running, going to the gym and sport, particularly motor racing.
I was vice-chair of NBJL last year and I am delighted to be this year's chair. Throughout the year the NBJL committee will be arranging a range of social, networking and practice events for the benefit of the members and seeking to raise lots of dosh for charity at the same time.
