Northants & Bucks Junior Lawyers is strongly committed to supporting worthy charitable causes where we can.
This Year
We recognise that we do not exist in a vacuum and that we have a duty to contribute positively to our local community. Therefore this year we have adopted the Citizens' Advice Bureaux of Milton Keynes and Northampton as our charitable causes.
The Citizens' Advice Bureau is a charitable organisation providing legal advice and assistance to those who can not afford to pay for such services.
We have already held a number of fundraising events for the Citizens' Advice Bureau and we shall let you know the grand total at the end of the year!
Last Year
In 2009, we held the following fundraising events:
- a pub quiz in aid of the housing charity Shelter which raised just over £400.00; and
- a charity ball in aid of the Northampton and District Citizens Advice Bureau which raised almost £450.00.

The fourth JLD annual conference will be held on Saturday 7 May 2011 at the Law Society Hall att Chancery Lane, followed by a black tie ball at the Intercontinental Hotel, Park Lane.
