The Northants & Bucks Junior Lawyers group is strongly committed to supporting worthy charitable causes where we can.
This Year
We recognise that we do not exist in a vacuum and that we have a duty to contribute positively to our local community. Therefore this year we have adopted the two Citizen's Advice Bureaux of Milton Keynes and Northampton as our charitable causes of the year.
Whilst we are committed, through our affiliation to the national JLD, to holding a quiz in aid of Shelter in February therefore, we have decided that all our other events throughout the year will be in line with our aim to raise funds for these two CAB.
We support the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Bureau organisation and the worthwhile work it does.
Last Year
In 2009, we held the following events:
- a pub quiz in aid of the housing charity Shelter which raised in the region of £400 for the cause.
- a raffle at our annual ball in aid of the Northampton and District Citizens Advice Bureau which raised approximately £450 for the cause.
